Yorkshire 3 Peaks – Are you up for it?
Over the past 13 years we have been running the Guest House we have had many of our guests stay with us to take on the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge.
What is it?
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge is a strenuous 24-mile circular walk in the Yorkshire Dales National Park that involves climbing the three highest peaks in the area: Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough. The goal is to complete the route in under 12 hours, which requires significant fitness and preparation, as it includes about 1,585 meters (5,200 ft) of ascent.
Whilst we both have walked up each peak oursleves on many occasions – we do one at a time!
Therefore we thought we would share some inside knowledge of a local company that can give you some training hints and guidence should you be thinking of tackling it in 2026!
