Guesthouse Holiday Accommodation in Settle in the Yorkshire Dales
Thank you for choosing to book with the King William the fourth Guest House in Settle. Your direct reservation is handled through our on-line calendar via Holiday Bookings
You will require an email address to make the reservation on this online facility and communication will be done by this method. We can take a reservation without email but this can only be done over the phone, and we post you the booking confirmation.
When you make a booking you will be entering an agreement with us with the terms and conditions as follows.
Prices: Includes accommodation and breakfast, single occupancy rates must be noted in your booking notes if applicable.
The following rooms (Flying Herbert, Fuggles, Theakstons, and Old Peculier) can accommodate a ‘Roll away-bed’ – £20 Supplement (check availability by phone)
Children over five years old are welcome. No exceptions.
Pets: as per our Pet Policy at £5 per pet per night maximum 2 Dogs.
Payment Method:
Deposits: must be made in advance of arrival by Cash, Card or Bank Transfer – Bank Details will be included on your provisional email booking. Due to enforced SCA Banking Regulations that came into force September 2021 for UK Cards, we avoid taking Card details over the phone.
The Priority is to use Stripe Secure online payment option for cards. If guests make the booking over the phone we will email an invoice for the card holder to process themselves.
We prefer to take payment via Debit Cards over Credit cards.
We do not accept American Express or Diners Card or Pay Pal.
We understand that not everyone is comfortable with technology so we can still receive a Cheque to clear before the timescale below. In rare occasions we key details directly into the PDQ Card Machine; we do not hold details on our computer systems.
Your deposit must be paid at least 8 weeks prior to arrival or within 48 hours if booking inside the 8 week time scale, otherwise the booking will be cancelled.
Once you have booked your stay and paid the 30% Deposit, our agreement is a legal contract and this deposit is non-refundable.
If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations made up to three weeks before your booking you will not be liable for the total balance. For cancellations made after this time or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling you will be liable for the total amount.
Final Balance: is made on check-out can be made by Cash or Card (Not American Express)
Non-Availability: We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer alternative accommodation, however if this is not possible, or unacceptable to you then we would refund all monies paid to you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Check In / Check Out:
Guests are welcome to arrive after 4.30pm (or before 12.30pm by prior arrangement) please contact us if you will be arriving beyond 9pm. Rooms must be vacated by 11.00 a.m. on the day of departure.
If you are using a baggage transfer service, please advise us so that we can contact them to make the necessary arrangements.

We collect and use personal information if you make a booking through our reservation system (Holiday Bookings Online Ltd are fully GDPR compliant if you need a copy of their policy email us direct)
We generally collect this information directly from you, but in some cases we may collect your information from other sources. For example, we occasionally we use Booking.com, and other travel agents. In these cases we always ask guests to make sure anyone they refer is happy for their personal information to be passed to us, and to direct friends to read this privacy policy if they want to find out more about how we use their information. We also ask on check-in through our Registration card to tick a box if you are happy for us to send ONE email asking to review our guest house through Tripadvisor.
