Historic  Settle

During the summer months the Historic walking tour departs from the Settle Tourist Office (Town Hall, Market Place) here in Settle every Thursday at 2pm

What can you expect for your £5 charge? Gentle walk for an hour or so around the town with gentle inclines and no steps, but no sitting down spots! The knowledgeable local guide will take you back in time and share stories and tales, as well as facts and information about the fasinating buildings and their uses! Even the odd famous resident past and present :)

Want to find out more about the History the area? The famous Ribblehead Viaduct 12miles up the road from Settle the Friends of Settle-Carlisle Line put on various events for full day walks. They are free and you don’t need to book just come along. Also run by Settle Graveyard Project they are fasinating and  good old Yorkshire humour mixed in to make it a lighthearted walk! Although now well into the season of these walks we would hope they contine you into next year.
