Hidden Treasures!
One of King Billy’s previous businesses was an Antique Shop, prior to being a Guest House at the turn of this century. The two front downstairs rooms where home to various gems of furniture and basically old things!
So taking this theme we would explore what Vintage Shops have popped up in Settle in recent times. Of course the various Charity Shops will display and sell these kind of items, and from time to time North Craven Age UK in the Market Square will have a silent auction which does attract lots of interest.
We shall begin at the shop associated with the Oldest Music Hall in the World – Victoria Hall and their shop on the Market Square – Miss Victoria’s Emporium which sells pre-loved clothing, collectables and curiorities. They showcase local artisan crafts and every month feature local artist or maker. All proceeds go towards the up keep of the Music / Venue Hall
Moving down Duke Street now housed in the old Barclays Bank Building since September 2022 is Teatime Vintage which sells a whole host of wonders, a real aldins cave also the Flower Bar for your dried, fresh and silk flower/plant needs!
Back into the main town square next to the Butchers is Mr B’s Curiosity which pretty much sums up the Shop selling collectables and more curiorities! If Vinyl records and books are your need then its a must!
Over the other side of the square in the corner opposite the Royal Oak is HRH Vintage Corner specialising in Gardenalia, Interiors and of course collectables – Share their love and passion for all things Vintage, Retro and unusual !
Then getting closer to the Guest house on High Street is Cale & Co Antiques & Allsorts they stock Antique Furniture and unusual items dating from the Georgian period to the present day
