Settle’s Fabulous Shopping Experience
For all you folk out there that likes to spend a little time doing some retail theropy and or a good cafe then we have an alternative to the shops and around the town square.
Located on the edge of town going towards the village of Lancliffe its a 10-12min walk (2mins in the car)
Flowerpot HQ at Watershed Mill
A few weeks back I (Jackie) was visiting Settle Flowerpot HQ (Annual Festival appoaching this Month from the 12th) and this year we are going for a special creation and needed supplies of approiate pots! This HQ is situated right next door to the WATERSHED MILL

I had to purchase a few things for the guest house and whilst I was in there I had a nice lunch snack, which happened to be a toasted sandwich and a drink. Great portion, value, quality and lovely friendly staff in a light airy restaurant (canteen style) Hectors Coffee Shop, is worth a visit. We have regular guests that go there everytime they stay with us and many more will go to the actual retail side too.

Homeware & Bedding

When you buy goods the card reciepts are from Edinburgh Woollen Mill so if you are famillar with their outlet stores you are on the same track – not being biased but I think this a particuallly good one and I am not a great lover of shopping (yes some women are not!)
Watershed Mill Details
You will find a small FREE car park at the front and more partking at the rear (coach parking is also available) – Don’t be decieved when you come into town with the “Brown road signs” indicating a Craft Centre – that’s long gone in this location !

As the name suggests – “Mill” the building was a 19th Century Weaving Shed on the banks of the River Ribble. Just to note when walking there and back direct you will need to take the footpaths – see the map for location and although the River Ribble flows through the edge of town there is no access from the river side!
