Dent to Horton Off Road Mountain Bike Ride
Took the early afternoon train from Settle Railway Station to Dent Railway Station with our 2 bikes for a great ride back along the Pennine Bridleway to Horton in Ribblesdale. Choosing a midweek day off-season was great, as we were all alone with the Swaledale sheep! We came across just one walker on the Pennine Way section. Chris spotted a Lancaster bomber (we think) going over Dentdale but Jackie missed it….the views are so very special, to mix that with some cheeky climbs and awesome descents we had a great afternoon (oh the weather….. it was just perfect for cycling this 20 or so miles)
