The Yorkshire Dales and Three Peaks is not just a walking paradise – cyclists both road, mountain bikes and horse riders can also enjoy. For the off road option we started at Horton in Ribblesdale, taking in sections of the Pennine Bridleway and byway/bridleway sections. To create a 16 mile loop which took in magnificent views of all three of Yorkshire famous Peaks – Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen Y Ghent. A few cheeky climbs, fast flowing descents with a couple of small technical sections, which includes the famous Wash Dubs clapper bridge down into the hamlet of Wharfe. The final section returns back on tarmac but the adventure makes you grin big time!. Additional loops / mileage can be added to this to make it a “Grand-Day Out” if you wish.
